A Carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support.
Many Carers juggle their caring responsibilities with work, study and other family commitments and this means it can be difficult to look after themselves. This interactive webinar is for anyone who provides care to others outside of their usual work role.
It will involve reflecting on what it means to be a Carer, considering elements of Burnout and Compassion Fatigue that Carers can experience, as well as some strategies for self-care and opportunities for discussion.
